01 · Cocktails

Walk-around close-up, pocket by pocket.

Johnny moves through the party during cocktail hour or throughout dinner, working pockets of 5 to 10 guests at a time. Each group gets their own moment. By the end of the night, every guest has their own story.

The most popular private party format, because it fits inside the evening you already planned. Zero setup, no props to stage, no space needed beyond wherever your guests are standing.

02 · Between courses

A short set at the table.

For a classic three-hour dinner party, the favorite format is 90 minutes of cocktail walk-around plus a 20-minute seated piece between courses. Intimate 8 to 30 person dinners get the living room during cocktails, then the table.

The magic has to match the room. A Pasadena estate dinner needs something different from a Malibu backyard birthday. Johnny reads the space, reads the guests, and shapes the evening to fit. That's why clients rebook.

03 · The parlor show

Everyone in one room, lights lowered.

Drinks in hand, a 30 to 45 minute theatrical set. Volunteers invited, never forced. It ends on a big piece that turns the whole room into collaborators.

Best for living rooms with enough seating for everyone: parties of 30 to 100, living room shows and estate gatherings. Johnny has performed in hotel suites, beach houses and vineyards, and Dylan George carries the same show when the night needs two performers.

04 · Proposals and surprises

Built around one person.

Milestone birthdays, anniversary dinners, holiday dinners from Christmas Eve to Hanukkah, Diwali and Lunar New Year, New Year's Eve, and engagements. Johnny has engineered proposals where the ring appears as the final moment of a routine performed for both partners, and surprise birthday reveals where one guest becomes the focus.

These take coordination 2 to 4 weeks before the event and a planning call. They are some of his favorite performances.
